Common Requirements for Foreigners in Thailand (2026)

  • Age: Generally 20 – 60 or 65 years old.
  • Income: Minimum monthly income usually ranges from THB 30,000 to THB 50,000+, depending on the bank.
  • Employment: Work permit required. Some banks require employment for over 1 year with the current employer or at least 4 months of employment.
  • Required Documents:
    • Signed copy of passport.
    • Signed copy of a valid work permit.
    • 6 months personal bank statements.
    • Salary slip or income certificate.

The application documents must be submitted by March 15, 2026, and approval must be obtained by March 31, 2026.
  • Applicants must not have previously been Central The 1 credit card members and/or must have cancelled their card at least 6 months prior.
  • Applicants who are approved for a Central The 1 Lux credit card within the specified period above will be eligible for a waiver of the first year’s annual fee, valued at 4,280 baht for the primary card and 2,140 baht for supplementary cards (including 7% VAT). Subsequent years’ fees can be waived if the cumulative spending through the primary and supplementary cards combined reaches 400,000 baht or more per year (accumulated from each membership period).

      • Copy of Yellow House Registration Book (T.M.13) with the 13-digit ID number or
      • Copy of Identification document issued by a Thai government agency or the government of the applicant’s nationality.

    Proof of income
    • Copy of one of the following income documents: a salary certificate, the latest original payslip, or a withholding tax certificate (Form 50 bis).
    • Copy of personal bank statements for the past 6 months and the first page of passbook, stating account holder’s name and account number.

    • Age : 15 – 80 years
    • For foreign primary cardholders: the supplementary card application is limited to family members only : spouse, child and parents
